Kaluk-Rinchenpong at a distance of 90kms from Darjeeling and 110kms from Siliguri can be a base for an unforgettable trek to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary, at an altitude of 3000 meters, a natural habitat for Red Panda. This place can also be a base for a more arduous trek to Dzongri at 13000ft on the Singalila Ridge. Short day hikes to the monastery and an excursion to Pelling or a stroll into the villages will keep you engaged for at least 3 to 4 days.
