Introduction || This 2-week birding tour focuses on all major National Parks and Birding destinations of West Bengal – from South to North. It covers a vast range of forest types - from the estuary mangrove ecosystem in the southern tip of Bengal to Sub Alpine Forests - above 3600 meters. It continues further to foothill plains in low grassland Savanna forests. This considerable variation of forest types enables you to witness a massive range of mangrove, higher Himalayan and foothill birdlife. We will start our trip from Kolkata, go further south to Sundarbans, and then fly to Darjeeling and cover the Singalila National Park on Indo-Nepal Border. We reach the other end of North Bengal to Neora Valley National Park near the Bhutan Border. Continuing from here, we descend to the vast foothill plains of North Bengal and do our last part of Birding in Jaldapara National Park with an exciting elephant safari. This tour involves mangrove cruising in South Bengal, hiking in Singalila NP up in the mountain, and Neora Valley's upper hills. During the hike in the hills, our stay will be in a basic tea house or camp. While in Jaldapara and Sundarbans, we stay in standard jungle lodges.
