A Bespoke Round High-altitude Trek to Goechala in Kanchenjunga National Park

Destination Covered || Dzongri * Goechala * Kasturi Orar * Tashiding

Introduction | Unlike the conventional Yuksom-Goechala Trek, the round trek will end at Tashiding instead of Yuksom. After reaching Goeachala, you take a different trail via Lam Pokhri and Kasturi Orar. This part is more challenging and fascinating but ideal for the hikers who want to explore less trodden trails. Due to remoteness, the path beyond Lampokhri remains mostly free from trekkers, allowing you to enjoy the high-altitude terrains' serenity with the opportunity to explore the rare wildlife, including Himalayan Blue Ships and Mask deer. The exciting part of this tour is to reach Goechala Pass View Point at 4800 meters in the core of Kanchenjunga National Park and take early morning photographs of Mt Kanchenjunga Peak – the third highest in the world. You would pass through some of the beautiful Himalayan landscape – dense, moist forests, fiery Rhododendron valley, deep river gorges, vast alpine meadows, snowfields, glaciers and lakes. You have a great opportunity to see several snow peaks of the Greater Himalayas above 7000 meters from a very close distance.
